Never bad to see the team competing though. They will still end up pretty low in the standings but positives are never bad.

IMO low is not good enough unless if it is last.

3 1st round picks (so far) could make for great players 3 years from now.

Makes ya wonder why Grigs or Armia haven't gotten a call up yet. Glad TM is keeping them there and let them build on the leadership thing.

Do we want them to be leaders, though? Or do we want them to be learning the NHL game?

I'm sorta torn on this. If the idea was to hide them away in the A where they could stay away from a losing atmosphere, we need to be sure that Rochester is not a losing atmosphere.

If the idea is to be sure to get them plenty of time, we could trade off a few non-contributing vets and get them plenty of time.

Grigorenko is better suited in Rocehester where he is getting 20 minutes a night and playing on the PP and PK. Hes starting to heat up now with a 5 game paint streak (2+4). I showed the video of the assist on the only goal last night, and you dismissed it as the other team being bad even though he used his body to shield the puck, stepped into an area where he the defenseman out of position chasing him, then slipped it backdoor to the area where the defenseman shouldve stayed. That was a great play by Grigs.

Those paint streaks only work in certain color schemes.

He is still learning with the minutes he is getting . More than he would get here unless he was too outwork Girgs. Keep them guys there for the time being .

Watch the entire play. The defense is playing man to man. Its when Grigorenko beats his man to the inside where he could walk untouched into the slot for a shot when the man with Larsson steps towards him. Easy slide back to Larsson for a nice goal.

Great play by Grigs.

if 18 players have learned the game, the leadership will take care of itself

Funny thing is Colorado fans said Benoit was a good pickup when we got him. I think TMGM saw the weaknesses and it was all part of the master plan.

Armia is playing well, like Grigorenko. Those two, Pysyk and McCabe are all I care about down there.

As in we should have gotten him or should get him?

I can't see Ottawa moving him, good production at a bargain price.

IMO Gringo never pans out in the NHL and I think Psysk is trade bait.
